A multidisciplinary allied health clinic

What services do we provide?

PhysioIntegrated currently provides services related to the management of cases pertaining to Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Dietetics and Exercise Physiology.

What do I need to bring?

Be prepared to provide your previous medical or surgical history. If you have them and if they are relevant bring scan/MRI reports, and list of medication. Please do bring your referral letter from your GP or the specialist.

How many visits will I need?

This will depend on your injury, your medical and physical condition, what you need to return to and your goals. Your allied health professional will be able to give you an idea of the number of visits and a likely time frame after your assessment.
At the time of your assessment, we will ask you to complete a survey about your pain and how it is affecting what you are able to do. Based on your age, medical history, etc., it provides further information for your health professional to take into consideration in terms of how many treatments and how long it is expected for you to recover.

What should I wear to my first visit? Will I have to undress?

Comfortable clothing is recommended for your treatment sessions and we also provide gowns & towels whenever needed. This allows access to your injured area for effective assessment and treatment. Your modesty and privacy are extremely important to us and are fully protected at all times.

How Long Do I Have To Wait To Get An Appointment?

PhysioIntegrated is a busy clinic and patients need to book their appointments ahead of time. With multiple practitioners and extended practising hours of Tuesdays and Thursdays, an appointment will be available within 48-72 hours.
We endeavour to meet our patient’s requirements for specific appointment times but where this is not available we maintain a waiting list of patients seeking particular appointment times to allow us to reschedule appointments where another patient changes their appointment. It is for this reason that the clinic insists on a minimum 24 hours of any changes to or cancellations of appointments.

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?

No, as primary healthcare practitioners, allied health professionals can assess and treat without referral by a doctor. Your GP may however specifically refer you to us for a condition they are treating you for. There are also a limited number of circumstances that require you obtain a referral from your GP prior to treatment, as follows:

Veterans holding Department of Veterans’ Affairs gold cards.

Veterans holding Department of Veterans’ Affairs white card – where the referral specifies the injury and treatment required. White card holders require prior approval of allied health treatment.

Individuals participating in the Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) with chronic and complex medical needs which are managed by their GP

Individuals receiving treatment as a result of an injury occurring in their course of their employment, i.e. Work Cover or following a motor vehicle accident, MVA.

Most health funds offer a rebate for their patients as part of an extras package. The services covered and the values of the rebates are determined by your health fund. It is suggested that patients speak with their health fund prior to obtaining treatment to understand their individual cover. PhysioIntegrated can provide you with the item codes applicable for your treatment so that you can discuss this with your health fund.

All of our patients are required to complete a New Patient Details form before their first appointment with PhysioIntegrated – even if you have a referral from your GP. Our admin staff will provide you with a form to complete when you come in. If you are completing your form in the clinic, please arrive five minutes before your appointment to give you sufficient time to complete the form. We also suggest that you bring a list of your medications and/ or details of your medical history to help you complete the form.

Of course this is ok, we welcome the support of family members as this aids in the healing process. We have plenty of chairs in the treatment room for you to be able to sit comfortably whilst your relative is being treated.
